  • InteractiveVideo Technology
The popularity of online video has propelled institutions into the world of video production, and CampusTours' innovative and popular new InteractiveVideo Technology allows institutions to add depth and granularity to standard university videos. InteractiveVideo allows schools to add InteractiveTeasers to any moment in a video (say when financial aid is being discussed), and when playback reaches that point, an InteractiveTeaser will erupt from the video, animate and move over into a Related Items list on the right side of the screen. Visitors interested in the content being discussed (in this case financial aid) can click to expand the item for a thorough tour, media items and links to information on the particular topic (i.e. financial aid). This approach to video allows viewers to self-select the content most interesting and pertinent to them, and, just as importantly, to allow content that is not to glide past unwatched.

  • StatFrame Session Tracking
With CampusTours StatFrame Tour Traffic Tracking service, Fitchburg can view reports on aggregate tour metrics like visitors, visitors per hour, and statistics on visits to areas of the tour and interactive map. In addition, StatFrame allows Fitchburg to capture the entirety of each visitor's tour session and analyze this data to help inform changes to the tour, videos or campus map elements.

  • Content managed virtual tours
Short thematic virtual tours allow Fitchburg State University to develop presentations aimed at different prospective student constituencies or different aspects of the Fitchburg State experience. These short videos give the institution flexibility in the future to add new tour sections devoted to particular programs, aspects of campus life, or even foreign-language speaking tours for students and parents whose primary language is not English. Finally, because all of the virtual tour videos include content-managed InteractiveVideo, Fitchburg State may insert InteractiveTeasers at any point in the future to give extra emphasis to any topic mentioned in the video.

  • Content managed Meet Our People Videos
Prospective students are increasingly asking to hear from current students, faculty and alumni as to what helped them choose the school, and what sets it apart. The Fitchburg State University virtual tour features a Meet Our People section that allows visitors to glimpse some of the members of this dynamic community. Fitchburg State may add new videos, replace or update videos that currently appear in this section through the menu-driven MultiMedia Engine content management system.

  • Content managed interactive map
The Fitchburg State interactive campus map is a powerful tool for creating and maintaining audience-specific campus maps and providing immediate access to any location on campus. As an added convenience to visitors, the map is fully searchable, and custom layers allow Fitchburg State to highlight particular campus locations.

  • Deep Linking
Deep linking to the tour or map in any state gives Fitchburg State the capability to provide specific experiences to particular visitor groups.

  • Accessibility Tags
Accessibility tags within the content management system allow for precise tagging of all tour graphical items and content, for compliance with ADA and Section 508.

  • Dynamic Branding Bar
Gives Fitchburg State freedom to change the tour branding in lockstep with institutional identity updates. New logos and taglines can be inserted at any time to keep the tour consistent with new branding initiatives.

  • Content Managed Calls To Action
Allows Fitchburg State to control persistent calls to action, the icons and text that represent them, the locations to which they link and the creation of new calls to action.

  • Independent Media Player
The CampusTours Independent Media Player gives institutions like Fitchburg State an opportunity to reuse their wealth of tour content outside the tour interface. Using the MultiMedia Engine content management system, Fitchburg State can assemble and publish infinite numbers of unique collections of videos, photos, slideshows, musical performances and much more.

  • Burn To CD-ROM
Burn to CD-ROM capability permits Fitchburg State to burn the entire presentation to cross-platform CD-ROM or create a cross-platform ISO disk image for large runs of CDs.
